Mary Robinett - LMT/NMT

Mary Robinett is a licensed massage therapist, personal trainer and owner of Over the Mountain Therapy. She holds certifications in Professional Massage Therapy and Neuromuscular Therapy and is skilled in sports, deep tissue, neuromuscular and Swedish massage.   Mary is also certified in cupping therapy. She is a graduate of the Birmingham School of Massage and Randolph-Macon Woman's College where she earned a B.A. in Psychology.

Her practice primarily focuses on helping clients during the course of their rehabilitation from injury, assisting clients with pain management and helping clients with relaxation through massage therapy.

Mary enjoys working with people of all ages. She follows HIPAA privacy regulations and makes confidentiality a priority. She is also insured through the American Massage Therapy Association. Prior to becoming a massage therapist, Mary taught three, four, and five year old classes at Mountain Brook Baptist Early Learning Center and assisted the teachers at Steeple Arts Dance Academy.

She is a wife, mother of two grown daughters, and a resident of Mountain Brook, Alabama.

Melody Lake - LMT/NMT

Melody Lake is​​ a licensed massage therapist who blends skill, intuition, and compassion to help her clients feel their best. With specialized training in deep tissue, Swedish, and Thai massage, as well as certifications in manual lymphatic drainage and heated Core stone therapy, Melody offers a personalized approach to healing and relaxation.

 

She takes time to understand each client’s lifestyle, stress levels, and movement patterns—crafting massage sessions that not only relieve acute pain but also support long-term wellness. Her goal is simple: to help people live active, pain-free lives through thoughtful, individualized care.

Melody is a graduate of the Birmingham School of Massage and holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After a 25-year career at UAB as a program manager and advisor, she transitioned into massage therapy—a second career that quickly became her favorite.

 

Outside the studio, Melody enjoys photography, embroidery, cooking, and supporting Birmingham’s vibrant local music scene. She lives in Forest Park with her husband and loves visiting her grown son in Nashville.
